What will human rights be in an independent Scotland?

The protection of the human rights of individuals - of all genders and origins - and their relationships needs to be protected by the constitution and through laws. How will this be done?

The Scottish Government policy is to continue to embed human rights in all of its legislation. It will continue to oppose any efforts to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights.  It will recognise, respect and promote childrens' rights.
